Security policy, the controls that enforce it, and regular audits to confirm that both remain effective.

What a security audit establishes

A security audit assesses how effectively an organisation’s security policy is being implemented. It identifies vulnerabilities and gaps in the security controls that could otherwise lead to a data breach or other security incident, and sets out which of them should be addressed first.

Policy comes before technology

Many organisations operate without a written security policy. The result is inconsistent practice: procedures understood by some staff and not others, and controls applied unevenly across the organisation. A written policy standardises how security is handled and establishes what each member of staff is responsible for.

What we provide

  • Design and implementation of a security policy appropriate to the organisation
  • Regular security audits to confirm that controls remain current and effective
  • Intrusion detection and prevention
  • Firewalls and access control
  • Encryption
  • Offsite Backup over secure connections to storage held away from your premises

There is no single configuration that suits every organisation. What is appropriate depends on what the business holds, what it is obliged to protect, and what it can tolerate losing.
