Vianet supplies, sets up and supports Microsoft 365 for businesses in Malta. You can buy the licences directly from Microsoft if you want to — what we add is getting it set up correctly, moving your existing mail and files across without losing anything, and being the people you call when something stops working.
What we do with Microsoft 365
- Licensing. We work out which plan actually fits how your team works, rather than defaulting to the most expensive one. Microsoft’s plans differ in ways that are easy to get wrong.
- Migration. Moving mailboxes, calendars, contacts and files from whatever you are on now, with the cutover planned so your staff are not locked out mid-morning.
- Setup and security. Multi-factor authentication, permissions, shared mailboxes and device policies configured deliberately instead of left on defaults.
- Ongoing IT Support. Day-to-day questions, new starters, leavers, and the issues that arise.
Backup: the requirement most often overlooked
Microsoft keeps your service running and protects its own infrastructure. It does not keep an indefinite backup of your data on your behalf. Deleted items and retention policies have time limits, and once those pass, the data is gone — including anything removed by mistake, or by a member of staff on their way out.
This catches businesses out regularly, because people reasonably assume that data in the cloud is backed up by definition. If Microsoft 365 holds your mail and documents, it is worth pairing it with Offsite Backup.
If you are already on Microsoft 365
You do not need to move anything to work with us. We can take over support of an existing tenancy, review how it was set up, and tell you plainly what is misconfigured. Tenancies set up in a hurry — during the shift to remote working, for instance — often have permissions and security settings no one has revisited since.
What it costs
Licence costs come from Microsoft and depend on the plan and the number of users. What we charge on top depends on whether you want us to handle the migration, the ongoing support, or both. Tell us roughly how many people you have and what you are running now, and we will come back with a straight answer.
